asus a7n8x deluxe

having sound problems, it's connected to mobo sao thought i'd check to see if there are any bios settings i should look at, the deal is i can hear sound but it's weak when i'm using my cd/rw, i checked the cd audio volume and it was turned all the way up, any ideas?

PS: Is there a volume button on your speakers? That will usually do it.

It takes some figuring out how to plug the system up, you prolly have the plugs in the wrong sockets, try moving them around.

If they were in the wrong sockets, he wouldnt get any sound.

If it comes out of the cd rom that is totally unrelated to the sound card. Cd-rom drives have their own amp built in. Have you tried reinstalling or updating your sound card drivers? or switching around all the sockets? Sometimes in the BIOS in the chipsets box it will have it on there. If you cant be bothered to do that go start>setting>control panel>system and then check that on device manager it actually has the sound installed.

Have you tried the nivida control panel settings? Are you using 5.1 channel audio when playing cd or Mp3 and cant hear much that is cause it's audio source is a two channel audio. Hope i have been some help

how do i fix that????
