PSU , 300W enough?

Hmm .. I recently have beginning to think that my 300W PSU is not enough for my computer.. Cause it reboots itself overnight when i have 174Fsb x 11.5 and with the latency of the memory at 2.5..

I now changed to 3.0 again and it hasnt rebooted in 4-5 hours..

Could it be the PSU (good brand), or is it the memory settings'??

Cause i cant clock my Radeon 9600 more than like 422.24mhz core.. then it freezes in 3dMark 01..

My opinion is that your pushing that memory too far. If you could give more detail as to brands/and model numbers i could be of more assistance to you.

Just from my own experience, I had a 250watt PS running a 1ghz. and a 400 watt PS in my Athlon XP 2600. When I add even a cdrom my old system reboots constantly. I have my XP oc'd to 3ghz and have two optic and 2 hd.

I would strongly recommend at least a 400 watt PS. Or stop tweaking your system. Rule of thumb... if your system is not stable with your tweaks, don't tweak it.

oke...
But i have now kiinda figured out what the prob is.. Cause i lowere the multiplyer to 6, then i changed the fsb kinda slow upp.. And then to 200.. then the computer wouldnt boot.. so i cleared the cmos.. but it would not start then either .. Is it cause i had the power cable in the computer when i cleared the cmos, that it didnt clear?? cause i had to remove one memory stick, remove the power cable, lower the fsb, THEN add the other stick..

Why is it that i cant run the memory at 200mhz with 2 sticks??
*confused*

Ok, long as you got that stable and running.
If you ever decide to upgrade here is a link to some recent power supply information I put together.

Look for the purple lettering under the power supply heading
