Can't Delete Webmail

I have a friend who is having a problem. He uses Netscape web mail and can't delete his mail. His mailbox is filling up, and when he tries to delete, he gets a blank screen. The only way out is back button or close and restart. Then the mail is still there. Can anyobne help? I also use Netscape, but I'm not having this problem.

First thing I would do is clear any temporary internet files and delete all cookies. That might spring it right back to life
