Kids Windows Media Player 9

Hi,
I am useing windows xp and wmp9. When i try to play a avi or other video file in wmp9 its shows the video frame by frame. I have divx codec bundle. I don't know how to slove it. Is there any way i can uninstall wmp9 and use older verson of wmp? Please help me thanks.

What exactly do you mean with frame by frame? Of course it plays all frames, frame by frame.

Bad performance is usually due to bad codec, ffdshow filter should be fine for almost every movie stream out there (you can get it at sourceforge).
But if it uses some obscure codec (get gspot to identify the codec used), you might want to get something else.

Also, if your computer is slow, lowering the post processing settings will make it play 'faster'.

If you want an older version of WMP, go to start, run

type mplayer2

And there you have WMP 6 !

All these different movie files require different codecs......ARGH.

A friend showed me this the other day.
No codecs needed


S far I have had no problems with any of my files.
