Incurable Corprus Disease
I'm sure that this problem has come up many times before. I have developed a nice, powerful character that I would rather not lose. Early in the game, I stumbled on the Corprusarium and killed one of the inmates before I realized that was a no-no. I have contracted the Corprus disease and the wizard guy in the Tower of Fyr (I think that's it) who has the ability to cure me won't even talk to me. I have tried Charming him but I am not magically strong enough.
Is there some way to get around this problem? I am willing to hack my character to cure him or "un-kill" the Corprus inmate I killed. I welcome your suggestions.
George

I woudlnt hack your character, I'd just buy training for Illusion so that u can use a charm spell. You could always bribe him with a few 1000s.
If you want to get some easy money I've got a few things on a website I did awhile back http://www.netsync.net/users/drpmkp/index.html

Theres actauly a hidden advantage to not curing yourself for corprus immediately tho, I remember posting about it before, i'll see if i can find it again.
edit ---
here we go, i discussed it on this thread http://www.techimo.com/forum/showthr...hlight=corprus

Still No Corprus Cure
OK, I trained my Illusion ability up to 72, the highest it will go, given my current condition. I had a 100 to 100 Charm spell created, I hacked my magicka up to 1000, stood in front of Fyr and blasted him with repeated Charm spells. It made absolutely no difference. I hate doing this, but does anyone know the way to hack a cure for corprus, a removal of corprus, a resurrection of the inmate I killed, or a charm of Fyr? My character is dwindling steadily.
Thanks.

You must have done somethign else wrong then his disposistion then. I killed 2 of his patients and it didnt matter.
Does his disposistion actually go up when you cast the spell? (you should see a little green cloud aroud them for a few seconds if its successful, and the disposition number will change). I know this sounds dumb, but did you make sure the spell was Charm on Target, rather than "On Self" ?
What menu item did you goto, and what exactly does he say?
Have you tried giving him the dwemer gift that Caius gave you?

I have tried everything
OK, here is the full story.
I trained my Illusion skill up to 72, which is the highest it will go in my present condition. I had a 100 to 100 Charm spell to target on a person made for me. I hacked my magicka up to 1000 and stood in front of Fyr launching repeated Charm spells. Each one creates a sort of gas cloud that seems to envelop him and permeate his armor, and then there is kind of a bright flash. There is no effect on him. His attitude toward me starts at 0/100 and stays at 0/100. When I hit the spacebar to transact with him, his message is:
“You have killed one of the inmates in the Corprusarium. Leave. Live with the consequences of your actions.”
The only response available to me is, “Goodbye”. I cannot activate the Persuasion command or any of the other conversation topics.
My abilities are slowly dwindling. I do not know how to change Fyr’s attitude toward me so that he will allow a cure.
Does you know how to hack the game or my character so that he does not have the Corpruse disease, the disease is removed, the inmate is un-killed, or Fyr decides to like me? Anything that gets me beyond this sticking point. I just can't think of any legitimate in-game step I can take to resolve this situation.

There is a point in the game when you are on your way to becoming the Nerevarine, and you contract corprus disease, and it won't go away, but you don't die from it and it fulfills some prophecy. Are you that far yet?

A New Twist
Hmmm. That is a new one on me.
Yes, the Nerevarine issue has come up in some conversations with NPCs, but I have always assumed that when I got Corprus, that I needed the cure from Fyr. Otherwise, what is the purpose of that whole interaction with him? Am I supposed get Corprus twice - once before getting cured by Fyr and then again in connection with my becoming Nerevarine?
I really appreciate your help, but my abilities are dwindling and I am wondering where this is headed.
