batmeat is on a distinguished road
XP pro and SB Live Value probs.
XP won't keep my audio settings as a surround sound speakers. It keeps defaulting back to stereo speakers whenever I reboot. I think this might be why I can't get the other channels to work too. Any ideas? I've already uninstalled the sound card and tried the latest drivers from creative to no avail.

Have you updated XP? there might be a cure for that bug!
