svchost.exe problem solved !
I also had the same problem reported with svchost.exe. I read this page and installed microsoft security patch for blaster. The problem finish.

So, if you svchost.exe is not working properly, I would recommend install microsoft security patch for blaster ! It worked for me !

Glad you got it working. On a side note, don't just delete the file. There are multiple versions, most of which are legit.
