I'm assuming that the"yahoo" box is the problem.

What happens if you right click inside the box?

Any choices?

Bill

Hi Bill.
It's normally white until i go to Yahoo site. I also am having trouble with links in Yahoo: can't get 'insert addresses' and 'To' links to function. I get only burst of sound then nothing. Also 'Post' on MS Newsgroup. See screenshot of dialog box when right click on section. NB!If i press alt first, box disappears. I will be hitting the sack soon, but look forward to any comments tomorrow. Pete

I would try going into the Task Manager and looking at what is running. Try ending different ones...possibly something yahoo related and see if that stops the behavior. It's possible if this works that it will just be until the next boot. If so we will deal with that.

Hi D R. Is that applications or processes in T M, because nothing seems to be running under apps, unlike when I had win 98. Pete
