Good Headphones

I am looking for some good headphones for my PC.

Good quality and very loud.

Any suggestions?

What kind of headphones? Open, closed, headsets, etc. Also, what's your budget?

I really like my grado sr80's, great all round quality and fantasic bass. The only bad points are that the default pads are really uncomfortable and they are open so not good for listening to music in a library or other place where you don't want to disturb people.

Regards

This is your lucky day! "Todd the vinyl (and headphone) junkie", who recently left headroom is getting the original flat pads! He ordered a bunch from John not too long ago. You can pre-order them now, or try the comfies (listed as "soft" on the site) with the quarter mod (cut a quarter-sized hole in the center). The choice is yours, but if the bowl pads are irritating you then you have other options.

At any rate, I need a budget, and I need to know what you want, darthgay. Do you need a headset? If so, can you stand to use full-sized headphones in conjunction with a desk-standing mic?

I already adapted my old pads to make them much more comfy, fine for 6 hour plus listening sessions so no need to change just yet.

Thanks anyway.
