Setting up FTP behind D-LINK 614+ Wireless Router ???? HELP ????

Hey ..


Can anyone help me? I am having problems setting up my FTP behind the router(D-Link 614+). Basically my set-up is as follows:

Static IP
G6 Software
Norton Internet Security

I have set the Virtual Server on the D-LINK router to allow access on port 7000 and set the IP on the Virtual Server to the Pc with the G6 Software
Also Set the Public and Private Port on the Router(Virtual Server) to 7000 .. Should both public and private ports be the same ?

Also in the G6 software, what should i set the Passive parts to ?

Also yur Static Ip is the correct one to enter on the G6 Software in the Passive Mode Setting ?

My static Ip .. is the one which i should use when trying to connect to the FTP from outside the network ???

Basically I can connect to the Ftp when i try within my own network of Pc's .. but no other pc's otherside the network seem to be able to connect .. just get "timed out connections"

I have a good idea how the software works, so if anyone can help .. please

Sounds like firewall is blocking the outgoing port.
