Outdoors Hard Drive Again

So I haven't solved my problem from last time trying all those tips, So Im thinking like the Arm inside the hard drive is caught or something is messed up with it cause it just clicks when you give power to it like its trying to move out of place, so Would the hard drive be messed up if I opened it up? Or should I take it to a Computer Specialist person and pay 50 bucks for them to fix it?

Bah Decisions Decisions...But thanks for helping me guys I love you all...

Most likely, you will need to replace the hard disk if it's clicking...

And please edit your post... That type of language is against forum policy....

Even though this was typed in big, bright red letters it's still worth repeating. You just don't open up hard drives to peak inside if you ever want to use it again.

Well, if it's clicking, I would not suggest using it period unless they are data you could live without...

And if there is just stick it in the fridge for an hour and then try getting that data off as quickly as possible.

hard drives are made with metal parts, exposure to extremely cold temperatures causes the metal to contract, sometimes that is enough to get it going long enough to get data off

of course after in the machine it starts heating up (expands) and the symptoms start again

doesn't always work but worth a try vs. data recovery

edit

this is of course not a fix just a way to maybe get around losing everything
