First I would like to say hey to everyone...sure glad these boards are here. I have used them for a long time to find answers...I have a really dumb question. How do I find out what size processor is on a computer? I nkow how to find system resources and etc..but I'm clueless where to find the mhz?? Without taking the computor apart...lol

Hey...gotta ask right?

Thanx in advance..

For the processor type and speed you just right click My Computer and select Properties.

For more detailed system info do this:

Click Start>Programs>Accessories>System Tools>System Information

Tams11

Neither of these suggestions work on 98SE,

Download SANDRA or Aida (both free) to obtain information about your CPU

Even nicer crap, omar.

Oh, regarding the subject, a program called WCPUID will do the trick as well. Just google that.

Try the Windows key + Pause. Should bring up the system properties window.

You can also download and run Belarc. Tells you all about your system.
