Quake 3 troubles

I'm having a spot of bother with Q3 on Linux, all the models appear as the one I'm playing as (i.e. if I select Sarge, all the bots/players appear as sarge)
As you can imagine, this puts somewhat of a downer on the gameplay.
I'm running 1.32b on Gentoo Linux and a Radeon 32mb card @ 166/166. Kernel version is 2.6.0-test5 with extra interactivity patches. (from ck)
Any suggestions would be appreciated greatly.

Under the Game Options, do you have Force Model Players turned on?

I'm pretty sure that's what responsible for that behavior.

Yes, exactly. Thanks!
While we're on the subject, does anyone know how to make it start when its not connected to the internet? It just hangs at a black screen. Maybe something to do with Pb?

How long does it hang? Mine will hang there for about 10 seconds but then it loads up. I thought that was because of all the maps I've loaded in my baseq3 directory. Maybe it is PunkBuster (man, there was never an application more cleverly named).

If you're still having the problem let us know.

Disabling Pb did nothing, I'll have a play some time. Maybe its a command line switch.
Thanks for your help.
