RedHat 9.0 install on a Shuttle SK41G

Hi guys, I have a tough one for you. I just got my shuttle SK41G up and running with a Athlon XP 1800+, 256MB DDR2100, a lite-on burner and a maxtor 40gig hard-drive. I am using the onboard video and am having trouble installing RedHat 9.0. I try to do a graphical install and after a while all I get is a blank screen. I have never done a text install but would like to get X up and running after installing anyways. Would it be a problem if I installed in text mode and then tried to run X? How would I go about doing this? Is there an easier solution to this? Thank you in advance.

It may be the VIA Savage8 onboard video is not supported. A Linux:Google search turned up some hits about your box and the ones I read seemed to point to that. They solved it by using an AGP card.

Yep I was afraid of that. I did try out RedHat 8.0 just for kicks and it works. At least it gets to the graphical install. I am debating weather to just run 8.0 or go buy a AGP card. Does anybody know what happened to those cheap great Asus geforce 2 cards that newegg used to sell? I just bought one a couple weeks ago, and now it seems they are no longer on their site.
