Battery Backup for my PC?

I am currently running
AMD Athlon XP 2600
400 Watt PS
GeForce FX 5600 Ultra 256 MB DDR
768 MB PC2100 RAM
19" Flat CRT monitor
DVD Burner
CDRW
60 GB 7200 RPM HDD and 120 GB 7200 HDD
2 HD Coolers (5 1/4 bay style)

My question is this: I need a UPS to provide 5+ mins of power in case of brownout or blackout. What "VA" will I need to invest in?

Secondly... If I get two 500VA and use one for my monitor and one for my PC will that give me longer than a single 1000VA?

Thank you for any and all help.

DuraMax

i have simular specks as you with more ram and hdd and i have a 1200VA and when the power gose out i have not had any problems. i even have my dsl modem pluged in to it and still stay online. the thing is you need to get a quality/name brand one so that you can be asured that the specks are good and get one with a removable battery so you can change it every 2-3 years and the software needs to be good at monitoring the status of your power in /out and battery life and useage

here is the one i have http://catalog.belkin.com/IWCatProdu...duct_Id=123044
