Seems strange..

I go to turn on my computer today, and the fan is making a lot of noise. I think it was the video card fan, so I go to shut the computer off and turn it back on the sound stopped, but some weird message came up:
One of your disks needs to be checked for consistency. You may cancel the disk check but it is strongly recommended that you continue.
Windows will now check the disk.
CHKDSK is verifying the files [stage 1/3]
CHKDSK is verifying indexes[stage 2/3]
CHKDSK is verfying security descriptors[stage3/3]

Anyone know what thats about?

Unless you didn't shut down properly, I see no reason why that message would come up.

No, I didnt...I just hit the on/off switch. I have turned it off improperly before and never had this..I guess this is XP's version of ScanDisc?
