Can I limit bandwith to one PC?

Networked with four machines. The problem I have is when my one son goes online he sucks up all the bandwith and my internet slows to a crawl.

Are there any settings I can tweak (while he's in school ) to limit how much bandwith he can suck up while online?

Both are 2K.

Thanks,

Bill

Well there is a program that you can install
http://www.shunra.com/

I would also imagine setting the MTU really low would certainly slow his connection massively though

Well, it depends what you want the program to do. Programs exist to moitor how much you have uploaded/downloaded and sound an alarm when you reach a predefined point.

As far as something that would shut off your connection, I don't know of anything.
