Problems with Bootup

If anyone can give me a bit of a push in the right direction that would be great.

System :

P3 600MHZ
unknown ASUS slot 1 MOBO
320 MB PC 100 Ram
60 GB WD HD
Pioneer A05 DVD-RW
SMC Network Card
ATI Rage 128 32 MB Vid Card (AGP)
350W PSU

problem is I cant get it to boot anymore. I get power to the Mobo and drives, problem is sometimes I get video, sometimes I dont. when I do, either the CMOS has just been reset, it wants me to go into the bios but locks up, or I just lock up on the post.

any ideas?

If the CMOS keeps resetting it's probably the battery.

yeah, try a new cmos battery...or try to reseat the video card to make sure it is in the slot properly.

Has there been a lightning storm recently by any chance? Sometimes a blown modem will cause some weird happenings.
