Memtest86
2.4 P4 400FSB
Intel 845GRG Mobo
Kingston 256MB PC2100

When I run Memtest86 on this system, the test stops after 9 seconds. It gets to about 44% of Test 2 before it stops. I ran and re-ran it four times, and it always stops at the same place. Anyone know what's wrong?

gibe Hot CPU tester a try and see if you get the same results. This utility found errors MemTest86 and other memory utilities couldn't find...

Have you tried moving the memory to a different slot? What about relaxing your memory timings?

What are you cpu and mobo temps?

Mobo: 35 C
CPU: 28 C

That's according to AIDA32. Memory timings, I'm guessing, are at default. I haven't really looked at the BIOS on this mobo. Never made any adjustments or anything.
