G4 4400 What's 2 hot?

I am overclcoking my GeForce 4 4400 (the core is water-cooled) but there is NOTHING on the ram. What temperature is too hot for the core? Or does it even matter? I just stop when 3dmark and stuff crashes?

Defaut clock: 275/552
Works: 300/575
Trying: 325/575

Didn't want to take the ram higher because at 600 mhz if I touch them, they burn me!

If the core is being watercooled, there should be no problem with the temp. Just keep crankin till you see weird stuff or the system crashes. You might want to consider getting some ramsinks.

Well 325 dure didn't work. The screen just locks up after playing for about 30 seconds. If I sit there long enough, it will play for anouth 10 seconds then lock up. The lockups seem to et longer each time.

Is this normal when pushing the limits?

Temps:
CPU 33C
GPU 34C

I put the ram speed back to default and it still froze. I had to knock it all the way down 313mhz beofe it would lock up. At least it ran 3dmark 2003 now. scored 1489 though.

Now it sits @ 312/552

Will now put ram back up to 575.

Well, I overclcoked my CPU, and changed a whole bunch of setting in the bios. Top score I have gotten is 1648.

IS that about right?

Athlon 3200+
g4 4400 305/575
512 PC3200 Corsair XMS (7-3-3-2)

For 3dmark 2003 it is. Temp isnt the holy grail to high oclocks. Sure it helps but it wont make the gpu just keep going till temp issue comes up. Cpu's are the same. Your GPU is at its limit. I imagine if your really going to the max a simple GPU vcore boost will get you more. But I dont know-each card is diff. and usually requires the soldering of a resistor to video board.
