Outdoors Dr. DivX crashing...

I have the latest version of Dr. DivX 1.0.3

I would load a .vob file and after I get to the...
Encoding Video (First Pass) and gets to 100%
it would ALWAYS crash on me... why?
I can never get to the 2nd one...

Or any recommendations on other programs that can do a better job and actually works?

I'm on Windows XP Professional
Athlon XP 2100+ 1.73 GHZ 512 MB

I'd hit www.doom9.org (or is it www.doom9.net), they have a ton of FAQ & other programs that can help you with that. I've never used Dr. Divx, but I'm a big fan of Gordeon Knot.

If Dr.DivX is crashing on the 2nd pass, could be a few things. Audio is encoded on the 2nd pass and a filter from another codec pack could be blocking it:

http://support.divx.com/cgi-bin/divx...Z2U9MQ**&p_li=

Either that or your vob file has an AC3 soundtrack and there is not a filter installed and registered to decode it. You can download a filter here:

http://easynews.dl.sourceforge.net/s...lter_0_70b.exe

Should solve your problems - if not - PM me.
