Outlook 97

Hi, got a problem where when a new mail is received, outlook should play a sound. This does happen, but only intermittently. It's as if there is some kind of timer, if you receive another mail immediately after - no sound. But if you received something say 1 min to 2 min later you get the sound.

Anyone got any ideas please?

If it downloads more than 1 e-mail at a single session, it will only play 1 sound.
If after checking mails, it checks again and finds a new mail, then it will become tuneful again...

Thanks, I've found out that the sound is on a 5 min timer (default setting). So if more than one message is received in 5 mins doesnt sound. So I've created a rule to play a sound for all messages....
