Big Problem

Hi
I bought this kind of motherboard k7s5a pro and when I try to turn the computer on just last 3 or 5 seconds and then shut off itself...
Please helpme??

Unplug everything from the mobo except power supply and video card.. see if it comes up.

sounds like it could possibly be heat related, double check and make sure the heatsink is seated onto the cpu properly....its easy to get it sitting a little sideways but it needs to be perfectly flat.

No beeps
The mobo just start up for few secs and then goes dead
I tryed to start it up using your thecnique and did the same... Probably this one has any manufacturer problems?

I haven't install the cooling system yet... due I just bought the motherboard and it came with a different heatsink and fan for a 478 socket and I waiting for the right one to arrive... That could be... This could be it? that need the fan conected ???

Most motherboards have censor that check if a cooling system (CPU Fan) is connected, if not the result is power for a few seconds then automatic shut down.

you will be the first i'm saying this to but...

you should never try a bootup without a fan, lol.

Most modern cpus melt down in a second or so without a heatsink/fan.

Well I better wait till get the heatsink and fan... and a new processor... LOL
