Do you still use Lilo or GRUB or another Linux bootloader to choose which OS to use?

You need to uninstall the bootloader then, otherwise it'll kill your loading if you delete the partition.

Not sure about Drake, but there should be an option in whatever it uses as a control panel thingy to turn off the bootloader.

Once you've done this it should revert to starting into windows automatically. If it doesn't, just get the WinXP CD and boot with it, select repair instead of install, and then type FIXBOOT when you get to the repair command line. Shouldn't need to do this, but sometimes things happen...

After turning off the bootloader, and starting XP, you should be able to find the partition with Drake on it in Disk Management (will be a non-DOS partition or something). You can reformat it or delete it as you want.

To resize the existing winXP partition to use the now free space will require a third party app like Partition Magic or something. So just use the space to create a new NTFS partition and use that for storing stuff.

Easy, eh? Did I miss anything?

Cheers
Mick
