HELP!!!!10gig harddrive only formatting into 2 gig parts

why would this be happening?
i have a 10 gig harddrive here that has worked beautifully for ever, now that i have a deal going to trade it off, it will not format a 9gig partition like it allways has, only 2.4 gig partitions....wtf?
anyone have this happen to them?

What are you using to format?

Have you used 'FDISK' to see what partitions it shows?

Have you used the mfr's. utility to "verify" the drive?

Are you making a FAT partition or FAT32.

Use 'FDISK' and enable "Large Disk Support" so you can make a FAT32 partition.

Also, did you move any jumpers? Check to make sure the 2GB clip isn't on.
