Having just bought a new webcam a pcl-w300 i installed the software did all the things i have to do, but when i click the cam to start it comes on screen then locks the computer up i've checked the sys says it's working yet it still locks up can anyone help me my os is win 98,amd 2.00 processor, nvida ge-force mx400 graphics card, 258 memory. my mother board is a jetway 266b.
any help would be welcome

does your computer simply freeze? still showing your desktop, but you can move your mouse or do anything?

did you install the drivers before hooking up the camera? you should if you didnt. also just try uninstalling and reinstalling the software
