Help with Ulead GIF Animator 5

I was wondering if someone could help me with an avatar I'm making. I am using Ulead GIF Animator 5. What I can't figure out is when I duplicate the frame, then how can I make the new frames background a solid color before adding text to it? The frame is staying white and I would like it to be the same color red as in the attachment. Could someone tell me how to do this?

Thanks for any help.

Thanks WaldoDessa, but it's not showing up for me.

It could be my computer, I have had some problems lately. Would you tell me the steps in making the new frame a solid color?

Thanks

Ok, thanks. I thought he had posted something that wasn't showing up for me. The way his second frame is, is something like what I am trying to do. His picture is in the second frame along with his text. I wanted my second frame to be a solid color, no picture. I'll keep trying till I evidentally figure it out.

Thanks for helping.

Thank you WaldoDessa.

That's exactally what I was wanting. Ulead GIF Animator 5 is the only program that I have for graphics. I do have something called XARA 3D4 that was sent to me, but I haven't installed it yet. I'm not sure what all it can do. Do you know this program, can this be done in it?

Again, thank you for helping me with this.

Xara3D4 wont do it...but can make some nice avatars...just they are to big. Look in Ulead GIF Animator 5...your first frame is your picture. Insert a next frame than must be a frame properties ...background colour. If you dont came right I'l make it for you...just tell me how do you want it...

Thanks Waldodessa, I may have to install Xara and play around with it. I didn't think it was for pictures, just text animation.

When I add a new frame and click on frame properties, I dont have any options for background color. The options that I am given are: delay, removal method and frame title, thats it. I will keep trying to find where I can change the background color, if I can't find it I will post back. Thank you so much for helping me.
