Systems Need some ideas, what to do..*sigh*

Hey guys! Well, im new to PC modding, and i want to give my case some spice, i mean it sits on front of me and as a matter of consequence i must stare at it while i on the pc, so i wanan have something pretty awesome to look at..

Well, for now im not capable to buy a whole new case, all i have is a standard beige ATX case, some normal ide wires,a tri-color led fan, some yellow copper modeling wire (u know, the kind with the plastic insulator around..), some of those things that hold wires toghether , and some basic tools.

Well, i cant wante big money right now, but i can go to the hardare shop down the street...anyone can give me ideas on how to get some effective mods here?
I attempted a crappy round wire mod, not too successfull..

well, any ideas would be appreciated, and how-tos as well would be cool, thanks!

Welcome to TechIMO cpu killer. Well, if it's a beige case you gotta paint it. Here is a Link to a really cool paint job.

Why don't you chuck that ugly case altogether, and throw that baby inside the wall?!!

Yeah, I have that same case for one of my other computers and I thought I would try to paint it like that.

Hi cpu killer, you may also get some good out of these painting articles, which are written with the beginner in mind:

how to paint your computer case (part 2)
how to paint your computer case (part 1)

Once again, in these articles I'm working out on the Apex supercase, a.k.a. the purple button case.

If you would like a couple articles on cutting the case, here you go:
stealth blowhole and case handles

cutting a freestyle, low-profile window

enjoy.

there is only two things you need to think about when modding:
1 what is so increadibly stupid/crazy/insane/ or hasnt been done before (like the slide out dart board in my pc)
2 when you screw up your mod (and you will), think of another way to mod it so you cant see the first one...

just remember, mods can be done with almost any tool, i have used lighters, scissors, walkman tape players, lots of electrical tape, tons of krazy glue, not to mention a bunch of car parts.....

also think about this... when you start modding, you will never finish, YOU WILL GO BROKE, but you will also have a great time and a great computer to show for it
