A7N8X DLX NIC problems

My internet connection has just started to drop off and stop working for periods of time. I was using the NVIDIA NIC and it seemed to die on me. After a couple of ours with Linksys tech support. I switched and used the 3com. it has been working off and on. I am connected to a LINKSYS router and my other machine never loses connection. Oh yeah when I lose INTERNET i dont lose connection to the other machine so my router is working.

Any halp or Ideas would be great.

Are you using the proper drivers for this NIC? I would un-install it and re-install it and see if that helps.

just wondering if you have the latest firmware on the routeR?

I all drivers for the onboard nic are installed, I havent upgraded firmware on the router, But did call linksys and verify router was good, the other computer doesnt have an issue and its using the router as well.

I have uninstalled and re installed the drivers, same problem works fine for awhile then stops, and comes back. There is no patern to when its going to work or not that i can tell, seems to be random.

Ok, Same problem for both cards points to connection - Yes, replace the cable and try again(unless that was already done you didnt mention it so...).

99% of the time if 2 different NICs have the same problem its a bad connection/ bad cable.

thanks for the help still dropping off sparatically, I will keep messing with it, I have a Spare Nic i can put in and try
