Annoying Drop Menus

I don't know if anyone can help me, but this is sooo annoying. When ever I try to sign into Netscape (my email server) or e-Bay, everything I type in is saved in a drop down list. My kids have put many names in trying to find new screen names and they have all been saved!! Now, I have to look forever to try to find mine to sign on! How can I clear these lists? I tried emptying cookies, but that didn't work. Can anyone help?

Assuming you're using Internet Explorer, you can clear ALL the entries. (You can't pick and choose which are deleted.)

Tools -> Internet Options... -> Content -> [AutoComplete...] -> [Clear Forms]

I'm not a Netscape user, but I imagine that it is somewhat similar to IE browser, so try this:
Open 'regedit' and do a search for one of the annoying entries, and see where in the registry it is being stored. Once you find it, you'll probably find the others as well. You should be able to edit these specific entries (or perhaps even delete the specific keys).
If you have never edited the registry, you may want to back it up before you mess with it, in the event you inadvertantly damage something.

Welcome to TechIMO!

In Netscape 7.X

Edit > Preferences > History > Clear Location Bar.

Something similar in lower versions.
