Anyone know of a decent free musical scripting language?
What I am in need/want of is a decent musical scripting language which, when run through the compiler, will generate MIDI files.
The problem is I am finding that current MIDI-generating software is inadequate for my needs/tastes. I think recursively and in a very programming-language way. If I had a decent musical scripting language which realized the full potential of MIDI, then I could make great MIDIS, I think. (Right now, they are just mediocre).
