Have a problem with either the sound card or mic.

and I don't know which is causing it.

In order to get the mic to work I can't push it all the way into the sound card.
I gotta pull it part way out, and wiggle it around until I get it to work. I am testing it in Netmeeting, the audio setup wizard and the sound recorder that comes with WIN98SE.

The sound card is a Creative Soundblaster Live Value, and the mic is an Andrea ANC-600.

What are your thoughts on this ?
If I had another soundcard, I might try replacing it, or if I had another mic, I might try that.

sounds like the jack is have problems i have had speakers that have this issue.... I believe it usually means that the leads to the jak have become lose.....

I would try a diff mic first though (easier then replacing the sound card) but I think you will have to go that direction...

yeag, put in a different mic....if you still have problems it is most likley the soundcard.

i have had mics like this....most likley it is the mike.

I found another sound card and I am having the same problem.
Now to see if this e-bay seller will honor my request.
