80gig's + Win98

Is there a way to make Win98se see more than 80gig's? Let's say
120 160 gig's. I'm looking to purchase another drive but I have a multiple boot machine. Win98se/Y2Kpro/XPpro.

Cheers!

I've used an 80 gig drive with SE. If you want one big FAT partition you'll have to partition and format with a WinME bootdisk. SE is a little wierd about formatting >60GB.

I'm runninga 120GB HDD in my Win98SE machine, with no problems at all. I just plugged it in and went.

As long as any individual partition is below 80GB, there shouldn't be a problem. If you feel compelled to have one humungous 160GB partition, SE will not see it.

Just break it up.

Hi There,

I don't know if this will help but I seem to recall reading somewhere that Microsoft released a new version of fdisk for Win98 SE to partition large drives.

So it looks like I won't have any worries then.

Thanks all.

Cheers!
