Win XP + a Scsi setup??

How would i get a scsi setup to Upgrade to winxp... from win98..
its giving me troubles.. i also need a new winxp pro,.. like corp or somthing

Are you trying to upgrade a pc that already has 98 on it?

nope fresh install of xp, its a p4 1.6 going to be run as a server

Can you please give more details of what you are doing and how it is failing including any error messages otherwise its going to be difficult to try and help.

Since we don't have much 'specific' detail to go on...
Generally, when installing W2K or XP, just have a diskette with your SCSI drivers on it available. During the install, you will be prompted to hit F6 (I think) if you need to install SCSI device drivers... just follow the install prompts.

Also, XP has a bit better native SCSI driver support than W2K, but I always had what I needed on my trusty 3.5" diskette.

I have xp pro and a SCSI card with a 10,000rpm drive.... the drivers are installed automatic. Are you setting up an special array?

im not setting up a special array,.. i just want this piece to work at 10k rpm.. with my 50 gb scsi drive,.. the drive is 10k rpm,.. 68pin my card is 68 pin . everything fits and suppose to work,... it gives me some stupid error like cant read the drive or reconize or somthing and then i reboot and it starts to install,... but the gives me installation failed.

I think NDC is right on it...
It looks to me that you need to load the SCSI adapter drivers while loading the XP install. If you pay attention during the "DOS" part of the XP install, you are prompted to hit F6 if you need to install 3rd party drivers...
