Need help to ID strange Sony device

Does anyone know what this device is ? And what it does?

All I know is that it's part of a set called TriniCom® 5100.

Yep thats the one.

But thats the whole set , would this device work on it's own using a monitor or the video outputs.

Or is it worthless without the rest of the trinicom set ?

I'm pretty sure now that it's called

PCS 5100


Found more info

Probably..looks pretty specific to me.

Why don't you google it and read up on the system specs?
