Inspire 5200 with Nforce2 sound?

I'm planning to get a surround system after I finish my new computer, and I'm wondering if the Inspire 5200 will work good with the onboard sound (nforce2) of the Abit NF7-S. I've seen some places say the creative speakers dont work very good without an audigy card, is this true?

Well, I have had both soundstorm (asus a7n8x) and audigy with the Megaworks 550 and they are just an excellent combo. Go with the Megaworks instead, from what I hear they are a huge step up from the inspires for a little more money.

I have a hard time believing that not using an Audigy will make the speakers sound worse. Especially if those are digital. It won't make a difference then.

Z-560 (or 680) or any Promedia will blow those away
