PLEASE HELP! INTALL PROBLEM! W/ COUNTERSTRIKE 1.6!
god... i have been tryin for hours to get counterstrike 1.6 to install... i downloaded it overnight off of gamespy and when i woke up in the morning to install it, (i saved it to desktop) i double clicked on the icon for CS 1.6 and the HD light came on and u can hear the HD workin, and the light stays on for about 4 min before it stops working and just stops working on opening the program there, u can hear the HD is spinning very slow! And whenever I restarted the comp and all the programs are loading the HD light was on for 4 min again before the programs next to the clock on the taskbar stared to load. So i deleted the program (CS 1.6) with difficulty because if i even single clicked on the icon it would do that 4 minutes of HD spinning, and then finally i got it to delete. I redownloaded it thinking that it was maybe corrupt and AGAIN! THE SAME PROBLEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so i burned it to a CD and deleted it from the desktop and when i go to "my computer" to try to run it off the cd and i double click on the cd drive, the CD light comes on and u can hear the CD spinning the CD drive wont stop working so after like 7 min i pressed the CD tray button and took the CD out. I put the CD in my OLD laptop (pentium I) and i went to "my computer" on it and double clicked on the icon and it worked fine! BUT IT WONT WORK ON THE DESKTOP! PLEASE HELP, THIS IS REALLY EATING AT MY BRAIN! :S!..... my PC's specs are...
