Hey, I just hooked up my brand new Linksys KVM Swtich. Heres the setup:

Comp 1:
MSI GeforceFX 5900
WinXP SP1

Comp 2:
Gefroce3 ti200
Win2k Server

The problem is that Comp 1 is displaying a fuzz. Everything is fuzzed to the right about 1/4" inch. Comp2 is clear. I tried running comp2's cables to comp1 and the problem was still there.
Is there something I have to do to my windows or graphics card on Comp1 to get it clear?

Thanks

Are you open to decreasing the refresh rate? This solved the same problem I had with my KVM. Hope it helps.

yeah refresh rate isnt a big deal.

i run comp1 at 1280x1024, which is kind of crucial for me, but im already running it at 60hrz.

what kind of switch is it? I have the linksys integrated KVM switch and I'm running 1152x864@75Hz, and it looks really good. Maybe the quality of the cables aren't that good.

The cables are brand new Belkin cables, and the switch is the PS2KVM2

be sure your cables are less than 6 feet long, and that they're shielded. cheap cables aren't shielded and you get "noise" in the lines, causing blur on the video. you might look into getting the latest drivers for your video or even getting a higher-quality vid card...that will solve your problem, imo. I have a kvm switch and no problem on either of my two systems...using 6' long (manufacturer's recommendation not to exceed this length) kvm cables, and no problem. watch that your cables don't fall too close to the monitor...the magnetism can cause interference.
