Finance Geforce fx 5600 tv out problem

I recenty purchased a Geforce FX 5600 from MSI, but have been unable to get the tv out function to work.

I have the latest drivers, but it simply refuses to acknowledge that it has a tv attatched. (The tv option remains grayed out)

Note that I do not want to have this tv display a clone image of the monitor, but rather display video in adobe premiere, which works fine automatically on my ATI laptop.

Any advice?

i am pretty sure that the TV out (through S-video?) can only be used as a duplicate screen, not spread onto a monitor and the tv.

did you try the "full screen device" option? it automatically sets video at full screen on the device you pcik (i am using my tv) while you can still do anything else on the other device (my monitor). i know it works with power dvd, realone, winamp, windows media play. but i dont know about adobe premiere

what is the "full screen device" option?

i cant get the tv to display anything, and it wont let me change any options for it.

even with the tv turned on, and the checkbox that says "click here if you have a tv connected but it remains unselectable." (which does nothing) it still wont display anything on the tv.

(yes, the tv works fine)

enclosed is a screen capture of the geforce display options

any ideas?
