Help!Connection Problem.

Please help,
Recently I have been having trouble connecting to certain sites, and i don't know why.
For example, Yahoo Mail.
My site page is 1,020kb. But my download always completes stating "Document 100%" at 31kb.
I am using Opera to get the results but it happens in IE 6.0 also.
This does not happen on all sites, primarily sites like Yahoo and AOL, etc...

any adblockers? or security settings? proxy? how are you connected to the internet?

Firewall with no proxy is about all I know on the setup. (At least thats what I input on my messenger and I log on just fine)

It does work sometimes, it just takes about 30-50 tries to get the page to load.

Have you cleaned out your temporary internet files and history, cookies?

yes, the computer is brand new, been using it not even a week yet, but tried that thinkinga bad cookie may be a problem.

If I watch the document download bar, it slowly rises to the 30% range, then jumps to the 100% and stops.
