Installing a PNY Tech. graphics card

Is my new PNY Tech. Verto GeForce 5200 graphics card able to be installed on a PC400 P4 M925 series motherboard? I tried following the directions probably not correctley but when installed (the graphics card) my pc would turn on but not boot. I dont even know if I correctly disabled my onboard graphics. I am running windows XP. The manual for my motherboard dosnt tell me anything helpfull or even give me a number for tech support. Can anyone help??
