I guess that will depend on which mainboard you have and how new is the bios update it is running...

if you still have you motherboard manual, you can re-search on your inquiry there. and sometimes, you need to update the bios in order for the mobo to support large HDD capacities.

The bios update is the first thing to work on.
Some boards will stop at the post screen due to bios limitations.
This prevents the use of Disk Wizard.
I would identify the mainboard manufacturer by markings on the board and/or by the bios string on the post screen and then look for a bios update...

Outdoors need update

guess i'll try and find a socket7 mobo that will accept a
400 cpu its better than my 233 in this mobo anyway.
maybe it will reconize the hard drive and ram
