The brother in law wants me to do a custom build PC for Xmas for himself and his son. This guy is pretty loaded and was wanting something future friendly fast as hell and with looks to kill.

What do you think in the way of hardware from the Mobo right the way down to the mouse mat !!!

if youre lookin to go top of the line with killer looks check out voodoopc.com, voodoo makes some awesome computers (theyre the ones who imported an origami master from japan to fold their IDE cables) and they usually have the newest components available. they dont come cheap but if he's lookin to spend some cash give them a look-see.

my favorite case (NEWEGG.com --->Koala case with window/neon)

Board: I Like K7S5A Pros, good coupled with 1gig DDR, and athlon xp 2600+

Add a 120gig hdd or 2 and lots of games and XP and hes set...

Charge a decent amount for building and sit back and enjoy...lol

But Truckie, if the world is his oyster, why would he buy an ECS board? Not knocking them , but there is better out there. I'd build an Opteron system if I was going to go insane in the membrane

Go with a 3000xp change Multiplier to 11 and then u have a 3200xp Go with a vapochill case. Doesn't look the best but man it has awesome cooling. Also go with a 9800Pro 128. Don't go with 256mb. They r still having problems with the ram speed I hear.

Is he into showing off? If so, go dual procs like MitaDC. He can brag about how he's got two processors in his system to his computer-illiterate buddies who think that two processors will make his computer run twice as fast.

If you think that that's overboard, take a gander at the Abit IC7-MAX3. I believe it can use the upcoming Prescott core, so there's definitely room for future upgrades.
