GENERATOR to buy
i need a generator cause there was a hurricane that hit VA and NC and i was out of power for 6 days, and i need one that can handle,
2 refridgerators
1pc with router, modem, wireless mouse
2 stereos 240 and 350 Watts
1-2 Tv's one 27" other is below 15"
possibly Airconditioner or heater during the winter and summer.
microwave
and thats about it......
i need one to handle those and a little more just in case and find one for a low price, say under $1000

not to crap the thread, but two points
1. if the power is out, most likely your cable is out. (especially during a natural disaster)
2. i think with the generators are supposed to be used for essentials items such as fridge. not the computer, stereos, and TV
either way a hurricane hitting Va is not common along with anything else devastating
this think will help you on your quest tho http://www.lowes.com/lkn?action=howT...c=howToLibrary | |

We have always owned Generac generators and have had reliable service. Their website will help you size the generator to your needs. Home Depot had a chart, pamphlets available last year giving the same info. OUr 5500KW keeps a fridge, water pump, and furnace running if needed. Nothing else.
