how to stop auto dial-up

my dial-up start up automatically and i don't know to stop it. i tried going into IE explorer option and changed the setting to "never dial a connection", i also tried going into modem option and uncheck one of the option..i think it was "redial if connection drop" or something like that, but it doesn't work neither. I'm running XP pro.

Disconnect when it tries.

Pull the plug, then put it back in =D
