SD ram? or DDR-sdram?

Hi guys I have a newbie question
I recently broke my 512 mb sd ram while i was trying to take it out of my old mobo. (what a loss!)
I am not sure if I want to get another stick of 512 mb sd-ram
or get 2 stick of 256 DDR-SD RAM.
My mobo supports either sd or ddr memory.
which do you recommend?

Is that a ECS Ks5a Pro mobo? or another model with simm and Dimm slots?

If so, I would suggest 1 stick of 512 DDR ram to run in sync with the processor.

100MHZ Fsb is Pc 2100
133 is Pc 2400 (I think)
166 os pc 2700
200 is probably beyond the scope of the mobo,, Pc 32oo

You can buy PC 2700 and run it at 133 for now, if you plan to upgrade the processor later.

DDR transfers data on both the rising and fallin cycle of the memory clock, whereas SDR only transfers on the rising cycle.

What sort of motherboard do you have? Most motherboards take only 1 ram type but a few will accept multiple - but you will only be able to use the one type in it. DDR is far better ram but your current mobo might not be able to take it.
