Computer Auto-Magically rebooting.

Hello,

I just had this system for about 3-4 weeks, and I noticed that it seems to like to suddenly reboot randomly while operating.

System specs:

AMD Athlon 3000+ 'Barton'
Asus A7N8X 'Deluxe' Motherboard
1GB PC3200 Mushkin DDR Ram
Windows 2000 with all updates
Asus GeforceFX 5900 'Ultra' With latest drivers.
Sound Blaster Audigy Gamer (fairly old card)
465W 'Enermax' Power supply (about a year and a half old)
and 40GB WD hard drive.

Anyways, I have no clue why it reboots, It will do it just at total random, I connected it directly into the wall outlet to see if it was the ups, and still continues to reboot without warning.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Hey Voogru, where you been?

You've already checked drivers, temperatures, etc I assume? No program that's always open (maybe something inconspicuous hiding in the systray) or blue screen?

Hey!
I had the same problem, actually i might still have it, but my systems just a little bit different:

Intel P4 2.4b
Biostar U8568 Pro (Via PX266E+VT8235)
2X 256mb Samsung Memory (DDR333,PC2700)
16gb Maxtor HD
64 mb GeForce 4 MX440 4X AGP
Windows XP Pro.

Well, you see, my comp did the same thing, it might still do it because it was completely random, but ever since i went in control panel and diabled a feature that windows XP showed which was "Automatically reboot on fatal error" i havent seen it any more, but have seen some blue screens every now and than saying program performed a fatal exception and the comp must restart, followed by a emssage saying that its dumping physical memory...
But, this is winXP , ur running W2000, dunno if maybe its the same...
If u think this could be it tell me and il investigate where i turned the auto-reboot option off..
