Soundblaster Live 5.1 trouble please help

Hello

Recently my Soundblaster Live 5.1 card suddenly stopped playing mp3's or any sound at all.

I have Windows XP, Viav KT400 Motherboard, Athlon XP2200, Geforce 4 Ti4200, Soundblaster Live 5.1

When I try to go to creative's mixer or speaker settings I only get "mixer not found..."

The device manager shows that the card is installed and working properly..

I have tried to reinstall drivers, replaced the drivers, placed the soundcard in another PCI slot. Even bought a new one, but still the same problem...

I have disabled the AC97 onboard sound in BIOS as well, so that should not be a conflict

I have even removed the soundcard, installed drivers for the AC97, and same thing there, it finds it, installs it, everything looks good, bit I cannot play any mp3 or get any sounds. The only thing I can get sound from is Teamspeak2, and a game that uses opengl sound(?)

Someone with any clue as to what has happened, and what to do please reply

I've heard a few people having problems with the the SB live and VIA chipset do you have 4 in 1 drivers installed? Some say that helped

Yeah I believe I do...

Any good way to check though?

You could just install latest 4 in 1 it will just go over old drivers if you have them
