Gaming Browser Language Change

Hey my french teacher wants her IE to be changed to english. It is now in French like for back it says Precedente instead of back...got what I mean. Anyways how do u change it so that it is displayed in english...I am mainly just talking about the toolbars. Everything on the toolbar including like file (which right now is "fichier") is in french. How do I change it to english. I have tried going into her registry (:0) on the school computers without permision) and tried to modify HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Active Setup\Installed Components\{89820200-ECBD-11cf-8B85-00AA005B4383} then isinstalled and then modify. I changed the value data to 0. I think that that is for windows xp though. This computer is running windows 98 though. Anybody know another option of how to change it?? TY

The Languages option doesn't change the IE language, it's just there so that you can view web pages properly in languages other than English.

My guess is your teacher's either got a French language version of IE (in which case I guess you'd have to remove it and reinstall the English language version) or her entire PC is set up in French - languages are set up in Control Panel -> Regional and Language Options

I tried uninstalling IE in the registery and reinstalling the english version but it didn't work. On the school network they have a program called deep freeze and it makes it so that u can't change anything on the comps. I don't know if it is for the teachers comps too though

In Win98 and earlier, you can uninstall IE by going to Control Panel -> Add / Remove Programs (I think).

Menus and dialogs are generally set up in the Languages option in Control Panel. I don't have Win98 but in XP you can go to

Control Panel -> Regional and Language Options

and click the Advanced tab. In the "Language for non-Unicode Programs" panel, select your default language from the drop-down box, click OK and restart the computer
