InstallShield (IKernel.exe) help!!

When i try to run a program from a CD (Thrustmaster CD so my controller will work), i get the following error message:

The InstallShield Engine (iKernel.exe) could not be installed. The system cannot read from the specified device.

What do i do? I already tried updating the ikernel thingy from the InstallShield website, it didn't do anything. Does this have anything to do with Kernel32.dll? Because i know i can get this off of Driver's Guide and replace my own....

i believe the problem lies in the CDRom. do you have a second cd-drive installed? try it in the other device. sometimes just restarting will fix it too. if that doesnt work, you may want to make sure all your IDE cables are connected firmly as well as power connectors.

i have the same problem with iKernel.exe file. strange thing is he wont install this game that has already been installed before.
i tryed everything that can be done, nothing works:

-restarting pc
-checking cables
-second cd-rom drive
-installing updates
-cleaning temp map
-reïnstal the installshield

if anyone knows something, plz let me know, thanks
